Update: Last egg hatched overnight (needed a little assistance but I believe that was my fault). If you don't count the many (expected) clears, we went 15/15, even with our first trial of shipped eggs.

That's great, congrats! Yeah, clears only go to fertility, not the hatch rate. Couldn't have been any better!

I just candled my shipped eggs about 6 p.m, day 10 begins tomorrow morning so I didn't wait. I hurt my back and hoped this would make me feel better, LOL.
Four from one pen of six eggs were clears, appeared infertile, but all the rest from the other two pens were growing like gangbusters. So, Day 10 really starts tomorrow morning and we have 11 out of 15 looking pretty darn good, no confusion about any of them. That candler on the MatiCoopX is really awesome! I really like this incubator so far, seems quite a good value for all it does and how steady she is.

Don’t temp me! The MaticoopX is still on my wish list. The price on them has majorly increased this year though and they have been out of stock a lot. Which is probably for the best since I don’t need anymore incubators right now.

Best of luck on your hatch! I have to limit my hatching this year because of school. I currently have some Painted turkey eggs set, some Turken/Olive Egger crosses, Red x Brown Leghorns, Legbars, and some various Game eggs set. And 4 goose eggs for my friend but I’m pretty sure they may be duds. Goose eggs are hard to hatch I’ve heard. I am going to candle them in a bit. They are only at about day 10 and they didn’t look too promising at day 7.

More incubators would mean more chicks and poults.. and more chicks and poults would get me into trouble!

@KF0002, good luck! My lockdown is only three days away. I'm pretty nervous, though all has gone well with the incubator. I have to say that I like how the turner has several trays unlike one that is just one unit because candling is easier. Take out one tray of eggs, close the top, candle all in that one tray with the built-in candler (which works beautifully), put the tray back in and get the next one, no opening the bator to pull out every single egg one by one anymore. That is a real plus, IMO, for this particular incubator. I did get my dividers from the Etsy seller/maker after the USPS decided to play games, took 10 days to get here from the adjoining state.

Maybe I could ask for a MaticoopX for my birthday. It sounds like a nice little incubator. My husband thinks the Sportsman and the Genesis incubators I use as hatchers should be enough. But I still want a MaticoopX. I have the goose eggs in my NR 360 because I have to hand turn them. I candled them and only 1 looks viable. Hopefully it hatches. It is going to be a lonely gosling if it does.

I don’t have another hatch due for a couple weeks I don’t think. I hope you get lots of chicks from your hatch!

Thank you! I hope you can get a MatiCoopX. So far, I would definitely recommend it, will assess fully after the chicks hatch. I may have to do a review on my YouTube channel.
