Get a couple of the fake eggs you put in the nests to encourage birds to lay in the nest. Set out in the yard and then go inside and watch. 
Crows will drive away any hawk and harass foxes and coyotes out in the daytime too. I don't mind having them around and have a few that have to "work" to get a treat. Take kibble dog food and set it out on a flat surface. When they become accustomed to finding it to eat, now put it under paper cups like the old shell game. I now set out 20 to 30 cups with dog kibble under maybe 5. They have to look under a lot of cups to find something to eat.
