What did you do in the garden today?

I wanted to grow trumpet vine for the honeybees. I will give up on them and pin my hopes on the other plants I've put in for bees.

The electro cardioversion went well. Dr said I should get a Kardio mobile to check for AFIB and I ordered one. Cloudy, breezy and chilly day. Warmer days the rest of the week. About 1 inch of rain yesterday.

that is saying something - it took me years and vigilance to kill mine!

I was trying to order some egg laying chicks from McMurray Hatchery, but they were all sold out, so I ended up buying isa brown eggs on Ebay. Lol, they probably won't hatch. My mail usually arrives near end of day.

What is the pH of your tap water? I know ours is neutral so I’m going test this when I fertilize this morning. Out of curiosity only.

I'm so jealous of all you guys with neutral or acidic water and soil. My native soil pH is 8.2. water is 8.2. water hardness is 560ppm. Keeping my gardens pH below 7.8 is a constant chore. Compost, sulfur, peat, iron. All year.

Replanted bok choy plugs into the net pots, and it should do better. My kitties were walking on the gutter system, and would step on and push them in. Now that they are snug in the net pots, I won't have to try to fish out the ones that were pushed in.

hate them all. crabgrass and similar are my nightmare.
