What did you do in the garden today?

Neighbor won’t plant his garden this year bc older (83?) , a little too hard. So my husband asked if he could till his garden bed and plant corn. Neighbor said yes! So I bought these to plant. Hope they are decent varieties.

We will also plant some cowpeas too - they gave me the last of their “purple hull peas” seeds, which are a variety of cowpeas.

I planted two varieties of cowpeas - purple hull and blackeye. I spent many a summer day shelling purple hull peas as a kid. Your neighbors reminded me that when we lived in a rental house while we were selling our old house and building our current one, we met our neighbors Bud and Joanne while th were out working an enormous garden. They were both 90!
