Shadow, I'm so sorry that you're away from your hubby for that long. It's got to be tough, but not only on you. I'm sure the whole time he's gone, he's wishing he could be home...wishing he could hold you, instead of driving day & night dealing with idiot drivers & traffic...missing your home...

My hens eat meat all the time. From chicken wings, to beef rib leftovers, to most of a pig leftover from a BBQ, they LOVE meat! The pen looks like an archaeology exhibit afterward though, with bones, skulls, ribs strewn about the place.

I watched the first 10 minutes or so, but I quickly got bored & shut it off. I really don't care who wins, & the commercials will probably be on regular programs after tomorrow, so I won't miss anything interesting. I'm glad I'm not the only one not watching.

Dawn (or other grease cutting dish soap) works very well as a remedy for oil stains. I work around oils (diesel, motor oil, grease) & have had many shirts & jeans soaked with oil, & I usually put them in a bucket with hot water & Dawn, & swish it around. Repeat a few times, & when it doesn't...

One of my dogs is a poop afficianado. Horse, dog, chicken, cat....she likes them all. Gross, but perfectly natural I guess.

Yeah, he's fine...sleeping like a, well, dog. It's just interesting what eating big quantities of different foods does to his digestive system. He was out in the yard taking care of business for a little longer than usual this last time, but all's well. They've eaten worse things.

Sorry that you lost Gus. I love blueticks, & yours are gorgeous. I met a lot of them when I lived in AL years ago. Sweet dogs, great hunters.
