Sponsored Post Nestera Coop Giveaway! Total worth $1595

I love that it's made of recycled materials! So much plastic gets used, it's good to re-use some of it.

I will give them some activated charcoal in their water, hopefully there is nothing in there to worry about.

Also, we got our first egg from one of the younger girls today! No idea who laid it, but it was right in the middle of the duck house when I let them out this morning. Probably not Pepper, because it was cream colored and not black/grey.

We may have just narrowly escaped disaster here: I went in to check on the ducks and collect eggs yesterday morning. Everyone (as usual) ran to the other side of the pen when I came in. Everyone but Pepper. She came waddling up to me and was giving me a look like she wanted to say something to...

Also, thanks for all the kind words and encouragement, everyone. I've been super stressed lately and that really helps. <3

I'd *love* to do that, but we can't afford the down payment on a construction loan. We bought our current house in 2008, so we'll be extremely lucky to be able to sell it for what we owe on it. Buh bye down payment. :| It'll be a while yet anyway, we just missed the house I really wanted. I...

We've been looking, but haven't found anything good in the foreclosure market. Not much land available, but a glut of houses in subdivisions that are right in our price range.I've looked at a LOT of houses lately, and I'm working with a fantastic realtor who is also a good friend so she knows...

I have an awful dilemma. We currently live in a manufactured home on a very small piece of land, and are finally able to afford to purchase something better. I hate manufactured homes. So cheaply built and hard to find parts to repair when things go wrong. Plus, they depreciate over the years...

Thanks! That is an old kid's sandbox. It has since been retired, because it was a pain to keep clean and not anywhere near big enough for six ducks. They now have a proper large kiddy pool with a kitchen sink drain installed into the bottom for proper drainage.

That's Harley Quinn, my Welsh Harlequin. She is BY FAR my prettiest duck. Sassiest, too. She's always telling me off when I come into their pen. I love her so.

They're all together in the same pen. Peek and Poke wound up at the bottom of the pecking order, but everyone gets along great now. It was hilarious watching four fluffy babies chasing the bigger ducks all around the pen when I first introduced them.

Yep, all six of them went nuts on it. Just a thin skin left over.

Things are well, I've just been insanely busy with my business (working on building two websites, tech support, AND all of the associated networking stuff that goes on when building a new business). Ducks, dogs and cats are all doing great, we even got the old dog on new meds so he feels like...

We're still alive! Lurking, but I don't have time to hang out much anymore. Here are the younger girls (Peek and Poke had run off for a drink). Watermelon yumminess!
