Ok thank you mine are all adults and have all just started laying a little under a month ago. I put the mixed flock with them tonight to help keep them warm. They just seem to shiver when you hold them so I wanted to make sure how long they can handle the cold.

X2 the cackling dosnt indicate much of anything, rooster also do the cackling noise they do it when the hens are doing there egg song and hens and Roos also does it when a predator is at threat to them.
