I don't have and baby pictures. The one that I was keeping was killed this summer when I had a predator problem (solved). The rest were sold but I know where a few pictures are :) I will be breeding more in the spring. Same polish roo, different silkie hens. They're white and very with some red...
I just wanted to drop in and share my top 3 roos of the year :) I can't wait to see what they produce next spring! The show girl has proclaimed leadership of the flock so I'm assuming I'll end up with lots of show girl babies lol
The older girls remember how to use it since it was attached to the side of my main coop before and they used to be in that flock. Hopefully they'll teach the younger ones how :)
My silkie coop got a major overhaul today. Since we lost most of the silkie flock to raccoons a little over 2 months ago, we had been collecting them every night and moving them to an empty brooder in the screen porch and moving them back out Every morning.... it was a pain in the butt! Well...
Mine have actually been pretty good about going in to the coop at night.... It just takes them months to figure out that there's a ramp right in the middle of the coop that goes right up to the roost lol
That might be tough to breed lol. Here's one of my English orpington roos with my silkies. He's standing on the ground behind them and they're up on the door frame lol
I just processed that roo the other day....7.94 lbs completely dressed out. He filled 2 gallon zip lock bags!
