My boss doesn't allow sick days and getting a little vacation time is impossible. You'd think there'd be some kind of labor laws covering this type of thing. Doesn't pay very good or regularly either.
Run 3 cabinets and 5 hatchers nonstop. Also have a few 1588's I use for overflow. Fixing on slowing down a bit, market has gone soft around here right now. It'll pick back up.you can plan on hatches about every 3rd day around here.
Checking in. Cutting wheat here so super busy.
Say it isn't so....... To all the naysayers, I've hatched twice in the cabinets in the last 30 days by accident. Yep, when it was time for lockdowns, I didn't follow my list too well and missed moving some trays to the hatchers. First one was 2...
Hey all. We're getting close to cutting wheat and super busy.
I think after my cabinets are empty, I'm gonna shut it down and turn the breeding pens out to free range. Market is tough this year and I've got 2 guys within a 6-7 miles radius decide to start selling chicks. Mutts none the less...

You can tell they are getting close to freshening by the udder but too many times they won't drop milk until the birth. I find that checking the pencil ligaments a couple times a day is a little more reliable.
I think we are going to watch episode 3 and 4 of season 6 Blue Bloods yet tonite and then start all over bright and early. We have to DVR everything and get to it when we get to it. If you can't tell. Ha
Hey all, how's it been shakin' on the forum side of the world. We are super busy and completely under water. Had over 15" of rain in the last 5 days. Muddy freakin' sloppy mess. 3 cabinets shoved comepletly full of eggs (double racked too) and babies out the wazoo. So other than wading around in...
I'll get a pic of my breeding roo here in a bit. That second bird looks a bit "washed" in coloring in my opinion. Things have been good but busy around here. Getting ready to pile the coyotes up again. Lost a few free range birds yesterday and today. They'll be safe here again right shortly...
