Turns out some of the birds I was thinking were Bullocks Orioles are actually Black Headed Grosbeaks. Doh! Borrowed this image from Audubon Field Guide. DH is the one who spotted the different beak.

Heard meadowlarks just this past week. Saw Mountain Bluebirds one day two weeks ago and that was it, they usually stay at least a couple of weeks. Mockingbird is in great voice this year.
