Must have been a tantalizing batch of wild water for this thirsty Thursday.

I was skeptical 🧐 when I heard them described this way. The forwardness of all of them is markedly different than my previous flock (a mix of colored layers, FBCM, and Orps.)

I know I risk sounding weird here lol but the best way I can describe it is they seem to be hyper- aware of the world. Once they check out that it’s safe they are all over me pecking, grooming my hair, digging in my clothes en mass. Like a tiny feathered army on a mission to discover the world. 🤣

This does indeed make it quite easy to get great photos :)

So happy your SFHs turned out to be fun❣️ I love it when breeds portray the best attributes of their reputation.

A contest :D ❣️
Cadet was strutting all proud until Marble came through the run door...then he ducked into a coop. Marble stopped like "really kid? We were having a concert earlier" then decided to see if his head fits in the port feeder. It does.

Also finished an egg apron for the swap meet Saturday. Debating if I should make another basket or if I should make little chicken keychains instead...🤔

Every time someone has a nice roo, I miss not able to have one.

Then I hear a story from my therapist's asst who has a roo they rescued as a chick but as a grown roo attacks everyone in the family☹️ I steered them to BYC for info taming a roo but it sounded to me like a hopeless case. Maybe he should be processed to not pass along the bad trait to future chicks?

It’s too bad we can’t neuter them like dogs or horses - gives them an attitude adjustment.

But yes so many very nice Roos out there.
