Solid black chick turned into a blue merle ❤

Posting purely to gush over how pretty this little roo is turning out reminds me of our blue merle Australian shepherd.

The only thing I know for sure is his dad is a lavender buff orphington. As for hens, could be silver laced, golden laced, red black laced, or columbian wyandotte.

He's all grown up! Sort of lol he's dropped all his light gray areas and has molted into a new beautiful pattern of blues and greens against the black. All his siblings are the same too. I have no idea who the hen is that laid these eggs but up until they hatched I swore they'd have different mothers. Now I'm wondering if the only fertile eggs belonged to my late Black Red Laced Wyandotte hen.

If anyone has any ideas of genetics my other hens are silver laces, golden laced, and columbian wyandottes. I also have a chocolate orphington and the father of all these chicks is a lavendar orphington.

Here are all 5 chicks and the hen who hatched them. Don't let the size comparison fool you.. she's been stunted since I scooped her up from tractor supply and is just getting to 4lbs soaking wet her name is Tiny Tim.
