Dog chewed through chainlink fence—8 chickens dead.

I was upset when I lost two and my own dogs killed them. So I would be beside myself furious if one of my neighbors dogs got ahold of any of them. So sorry you lost so many of them I know how expensive raising chicks up to layers is and its very disheartning to know that you just lost Eggs which...

Pyrenees pup ruff with goats, could we train him to be ok around chick

No dogs are good around chickens. I have two that acted like they wouldn't hurt our chickens for weeks then one night I came home to two dead chickens in my yard and two dogs covered in blood!! I even went to the vet to see what his thoughts were on the dogs and chickens living together in peace...

I'm such an awful person...... :( UPDATE :)

Chickens don't need anything fancy just a place to perch at night, food, water, and shade for the hot days. I have seen all kinds of coops from old trailers to just two peices of plywood set on the ground in the shape of a triangled roof. The main thing is to keep them safe from other animals...

    How Do I Breed Turkeys

If my momma Turkey produces eggs why can't I just let her hatch them out? Why do you have to have a incubator? I am not planning on breeding them but I do have a male and a female and I wouldn't mind little baby turkeys.

Who Has There Breeding Pair Turkeys Penned Up Or In An Outdoor Cage

My turkeys have their wings clipped and i have a fence that is around 5' high. They don't even try to fly out. I do pen them up in a coop at night so other animals won't eat them. I have found that they need alot of room to run around and they love to eat lightning bugs

I was just asking my husband why my eggs would not peel. lol I am so happy that it's not just me that had this problem. How do I know who is top hen???

Your top hen is the one who calls them all to eat and tells them all its time for bed My top hen is very loud and makes sure that all the other hens know when I come out the door of the house. I bring them crumbled corn bread in the mornings so they all come running when the front door opens...

Who Has There Breeding Pair Turkeys Penned Up Or In An Outdoor Cage

I have many animals also and I loved my chickens so much that I decided to get some turkeys. They are in a large fenced in area with a coop built on one side that they go in at night so I can close the door to keep preditors away from them. I am sure I went a little overboard with the fenced in...
