    YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hi Strangers, I've just been puttering along in my own little world. I realized wow its been forever since I caught up on things here, funny how that can happen before you realize it. I hope all have been well and the flocks are flourishing.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been putting word out everywhere I go to at least find them a forever home and start fresh. Being such a novice with these ducks I tried to tell myself that 2 were female because they were a different color fawn and much smaller than the third...but no eggs, curled...

    YO GEORGIANS! :)

Yup its alarming at how sweet they can be one minute and then attacking their fence trying to get at a passing hen. I can't let them out at all because I've seen how aggressive they are with my gals. If I can't come up with an alternative I'm afraid I'll have to send them on a permanent...

    YO GEORGIANS! :)

I've been MIA for a while but me and my assorted peeps are still cluckin around. New issue this spring, wondering if anyone has an out. Last spring I picked up 3 Indian Runner ducklings with assorted chicks, all was well and happy until this year. Turns out all 3 ducks are Drakes and they...

Hey Strangers, It's the ghost that walks again popping up out of no where, hope all are making it through this wonderful sultry weather we have here is Georgia where the chickens pant and you change clothes throughout the day after being outside. My Mottled Cochin buddy has been in full...

    YO GEORGIANS! :)

I need the weather to settle down and get warm enough for me to move my juvie chicks/ducks (11 in total) out. My messy buggers are causing a stink within a day after cleaning everything. I have 9 Mottled Cohin babies in another brooder and one mixed baby hatched out by an adopted Mama (crazy...

    Cochin Thread!!!

Yeah yeah I don't buy that, I had 3 children and I know it's virtually impossible to get everyone to stand still at the same time lol. The white one on the left looks like it's trying to blend in to the wall so I'll go with that one.

    Cochin Thread!!!

They are cuties but even more the first thing to come to mind is how did you get them lined up and staying like that. The next thing is it looks like a police line up lol.

Why thank you sever so much...I would put one of those smiley faces up but they don't have one batting it's eye lashes and holding a mint julep delicately in one hand and a lace parasol in the other lol. By the way my count is up to a full 8 out of 12 set (2 not fertile at 1st candling) I think...

    YO GEORGIANS! :)

She is pretty. It is cool how their pattern changes with molt. I have 2 that are sitting in the coop. They are a bit nervous, it's their first time being broody so I have no tried to count how many eggs they are sitting on. This incubator hatch was my first from them and it turned out pretty...

    YO GEORGIANS! :)

I actually have two roos and 4 hens in my breeding pen. The one I hand raised (Herbert) is a bit of a stud muffin (sorry for the slang guys). He fancies himself a ladies man despite the fact that he is a bit smaller than the other male and stays busy. I think he has a sense of bravado since he...
