Elemes,
Thank you. As far as predator we have had issues with possums and raccoon and there are feral cats in the neighborhood. Only had one major incident where a possum had grabbed one of our hens by her head and was proceeding to drag her into the blackberry patch. The reason it happened is...
Greetings BYCers!
We just completed our new chicken coop build. It came out great. We used 80-90% recycled or free materials, many of which were free pallets.
I designed it myself. It was a joy to build but I am so glad its done!
I also made an instruct-able for it...

As long as you are a steward of your flock these are invaluable devices to lessen the volume of your roosters. I actually just ordered a 2nd no crow collar for...

Cheers!

Do you have any non-bantam fertile eggs for sale now or in the next few weeks?
Does anyone have a young rooster they are looking to part with? Our yoing rooster suddenly passed away last night and we have 8 hens who will be missing the male attention very soon.
Let me know please.
Swedish Flower,
A simple google search will answer your question. Just need to put in the "leg work".
In less than a minute i found this for you:
Sizing Guideline
Below are our sizing recommendations by breed. When in doubt, choose a size larger! (You will need 1.5 to 2 inches of "overlap"...
Try installing it per the No Crow Instructions. I found that placing the collar lower on the neck as opposed to high up by the throat, works much better at preventing inflation of the syrinx and tracheal air sacs. If the sac cannot inflate w/ air then the rooster cannot crow. Imagine it like a...
