As soon as mine are fully feather they gotta go out. At least I have heater garage for them until then. Luckily the oldest group is ready to go out. But will have 25+ chicks in there again soon.

Hi folks. The birds pictured above are not Ameraucanas. Is there any chance you could move your discussion to the Easter Egger Thread? I started this thread for the discussion of SOP bred color varieties or project varieties of Ameraucanas.

I have introduced other breeds here. The younger fav pullets tend to get bullied by the more dominant birds. As long as the coop isn't to crowded they should stop fighting after a while. When introducing any new birds there is usually fighting favs or not. I plan to have a mostly Faverolles...
5 Faverolles chicks so far. Another dozen eggs set. Will start saving again in a week. Hope to hatch as close to 50 as I can get. Slow going with only 2 hens laying.
This is an enormous amount of health problems to have had with chickens. I have never heard of shipping fever. I agree that the person shipping in birds probably had something in the flock. Or that you previously had a health problem with the flock. Any bird that shows any signs of respiratory...
