We are getting some kittens which will be outdoor farm cats. Does anyone have cats and bantams that co-exist, or will I need to build a run for my bantams? Any positive or negative experiences would be helpful.

so then how do you get ventilaton in winter? Do you have any vents in the wall? Do you cover those too? I need o figure out what I need to do with vents. Will they let in too much cold air in winter?

Do you have chickens yet? I just cant see that many hens in there. Mine are seven weeks and I cant picture them in there. Well of course I have 25 and they certianly wouldnt all fit but I dont think four would either. I do love the stilts on there. Im sure it makes for easy cleaning.
I did see comb developement in some of mine by four weeks, but the one that started to turn red and had short tail feathers has a very large comb now at six weeks and Im sure it a roo. There are some others of mine that Im still waiting to see what happens. Check the tail feathers.

Im thinking of using tent stakes or some other stakes, maybe swingset stakes to secure my meat bird tractor this summer. For wind and predator purposes. I know there is a stake puller thing to make the removing and replacing easier.
What kind of plants do you have in your landscaping? Do the girls dig in the mulch? I soooo want to do some landscaping but Im worried the chickens will dig it up.
