Traveled to a friend's house (south of Toledo) to see it. It was totally worth the trip! Absolutely amazing! I'm so glad we went (although I was tired and not very productive today). We also enjoyed the visit with friends.
I don't really follow sports, but I was sort of rooting for U/M. It was who my dad and brothers always rooted for. I went to college out of state, but took some summer classes at U/M while I was teaching. My husband would root for the Spartans....
My brother he will have a mess to clean up when he goes home. Told him "things" can be cleaned, repaired or replaced if needed but people can't. (Well, I guess people could be cleaned and even repaired but not replaced...) Glad he evacuated.
He told me the girls were safe but are out of power...
I live in the Midwest, but with family down there in the path, I keep my eye on what's happening. My brother is safe. Flooding down by his place. People needing rescuing if they didn't leave. Thankfully, brother left. Nieces, however, are in the path. I wish so much they had evacuated!
My brother and family were told to evacuate. They are south of the "cone" so I'm wondering if they evacuated more because of storm surge concerns. My grandpa's place (near where brother lives) flooded really bad one year back when I was in college.
Praying for safety for all!
Please take any necessary precautions! My brother lives on Florida's West Coast north of Clearwater so I've been keeping an eye on things down there. Last I looked it should go north of him and his family, but I also know sometimes those things don't listen to the weather forecasters: They can...
Learning to drive a stick...good skill to have. Dad made all of us learn on a stick. He said if we learned, we'd always know how if we needed to in the future. I groaned, but I learned and have been thankful several times over that I know how! Keep trying you can do it!
