Hi again,

I was just checking my eggs a 2 are yet again bruised (I think)
I’m still learning and I’m sorry for asking so many questions.

There is lots of pushing on the air sacs, but no pips.
Should I make a safety hole over the bruises?
It really scares me for fear of hurting the chicks.

FYI, Eggs are almost gone, the last 3 are from March 21st.
After that I won’t be asking a million questions anymore! Lol!

Thank you as always. ❤️🐣🥰

Yes you're going go need to make air holes over the centre of the bruises, and quickly because they need air

Just keep them small, and don't go any further than that for now

You won't hurt the chicks, just be gentle and work slowly to get through the shell

And I’m so sorry for all my questions.
I’m just trying very hard to learn. ❤️

No ma’am, I’m praying she’ll go broody. This has been quite the stressful experience indeed!!!
Every day it something! 😢
Even if she goes broody, you'll end up with literally hundreds of babies if you intend to let every egg she lays hatch.
It isn't practical, and it wouldn't be fair on her to let her brood time and time again

I'm just being honest
A fertilised egg doesn't have to be hatched, there isn't a life, no heartbeat, nothing, in that egg until its incubated. If you dislike the idea of eating them, that's completely valid- but there are other options such as giving them away, selling them, or feeding them back to your ducks. They can really benefit from their eggs and shells, and quite enjoy the treat!
It's a natural thing. Plenty of birds eat their own eggs
