Thank you for the kind words. I do think structure wise he is pretty good, but he has a much more stout beak, wrong wing carriage, and way too heavy...almost 13lbs.and 33" tall when in "lookout" position.
The breeder identified him as Turkish shamo, which really is not a thing, all shamo are japanese. So I'm guessing he might be Turkish hint horoz/shamo

Orchard Poultry Farm ("shamasil") would be a good contact (check out his website). I had shamo from him, were nice birds. He might know of more local breeders to you as well... I am realll close to Missouri, but the shamo were one of the breeds that was sent to out of state friends when I had to downsize. Good luck on your search.
