Wow, what is she? Gorgeous!

Hopping in here because I'm away at college and missing my girls desperately.
Aww. Thank you.
She is a silver Welbar. But they aren’t supposed to look like that. The breeder was flummoxed when I showed him a picture.

This is not no April fools joke. The local news was talking about this.

I am thankful my county is only expected to get 3 to 6 inches of the rain. That being said 3 to 6 inches is enough for our area to experience severe flash flooding. There is supposed to be severe thunderstorms the next couple days with high wind advisories. The western half of the state is under a tornado warning. Our area straight line winds which can be troublesome as well. I guess starting tomorrow we will see just how good I anchored down the silkie coop and if my thought process on it's location was right.

Pray for all of Kentucky the next couple days please.

Gosh she looks so much like my Chickie-chick ♥️

HRH Aurora must love those gorgeous Muffs and beard.

My chicks have hatched 🐣!! The breeder will not ship until they are at least 2 weeks old and the weather is alright. I asked for some photos and she sent a few, so without further ado. Ten hatched out of the 12 she set for me. So all of these cuties will be coming here to Ohio.

O my gosh! More babies! This is very tough for me! Seeing all these adorable lovelies. The last one looks like a penguin 🥰

Oh gosh I hope everything will be ok, that system is heading here also, more freezing rain, and heavy rainfall alerts out already.

Do you think you might get more flooding there?

Ok so I love all the babies but seriously it is very difficult for me not to take that egg of Blanche’s I have hoarded on n the feedroom ‘for safe keeping’, and put it and another one under Georgie!

But I will be good and not do this.
But if Sophia also laid an egg well game on! I would be duty bound to hatch those eggs, now wouldn’t I?

Absolutely you would be 😂

Chick Update

Nimue is a little ahead of the other chick. She is already getting on top of the heater and easily stands in the food.

Of course food tastes better when you stand in it while eating.

I expect the unnamed chick will catch up soon. It's likely Nimue hatched earlier.

Eve is here and she loving the new arrivals.
