I did not know they had a private page. It really is all for the best. A drive to them for me would be about 4 1/2 hours one way. I'm not saying I would not do it if the time was right. Right now I am not ready to dive head first into show quality silkies. I currently have nice looking pet quality silkies. I have plans for them this year, and next. When I am ready to dive head first into show silkies they are top of my list along with Diva Girl Silkies as a source for chicks.

You know, you have your foot in the door. I do not know how old your DD is, but if she is coming up on the age to start 4-H in the next couple years a lot of kids show silkies.
She is 8 years old and 4-H is definitely part of my reason for making this drive and this connection. There isn’t much here for kiddos but there is a strong 4-H community. :) Even the pet quality from them (which is what we are getting) should be wonderful for our little local fair and a project in her age group. Fun times ahead!!!

I've never delved into Delaware before. It's now on my rabbit hole list, but the dark partridge was there first. I did learn some things about the washer, but haven't been able to do more than look at the new machine. DH ran a small load of "lost" socks. Those should be paired up/disposed of now and I'm running another small load of new sheets for my first foray into how it actually functions. Trying to figure out how to run a gentle-bulky cycle to see if I can do the queen size crochet blanket or have to do more of a soak / rinse. Not actually washing that yet as drying it preferences are hang it on the deck rail and watch the chickens be skittish about it.

Tax pics, BFTP, while trying ti find a rail pic (can't find the drying afghan one)

That’s Maude she’s my profile pic! I love her she’s a lap chicken already! Need to get more portraits of the girls since they are in the coop now and less scared of me swooping in from overhead. I really like Maude the Dominque though - this was when she was tiny still 🥹
TY for her pic ❣️ Doms are great. I wanted a sweet medium size breed around our Silkies & this fit our need. Yes, Doms are lap chickens. This one jumps into my DH's lap every day.
