Wonderful Wednesday.I hate to break this to you, but I will do it gently. It’s not Tuesday, and I should know (I had my tacos on Tuesday) but for some reference, today is wattles Wednesday. Some call it hump day
Dangerous headchook.
So darling. Between you, Alex and Jenn, and Bob, I am hard pressed to not go online to Freys and order a bunch or lavender Orps! Just as well they are all sold out of them!I cleaned out the brooder tent today, put new chips down. This was apparently so taxing it required immediate napping.

That’s Little Grey as a chicklet. She was such a friendly wee thing, then when she started laying eggs she wanted nothing to do with it a Hoomans!Dangerous headchook.
What a fabulous photo!
So far my lot has been really good! Of course now that I have jinxed myself…..Good grief, in the span of less then a week I am now up to 4 confirmed broodies. Reba and Gryffyn are still going strong and sitting on nothing. Last night Spooky committed to setting, again on nothing. Tonight I get home and like I suspected Raven is a shrieking, belly plucked bald tyrant. It really does not surprise me too much on Spooky and Raven, both showed signs of thinking about it. What is surprising is Spooky ended up with Raven's favorite nest box. Raven once again has taken over a bale of hay. It will not shock me to be up to 5 broody girls by the weekend. Goose is still showing very strong signs she is about to be the next one.
No one will ever be able to convince me that broodiness is not contagious. When one commits the rest start dropping like flies.
Meanwhile I'm all set up and waiting for one to go broody....So far my lot has been really good! Of course now that I have jinxed myself…..
