Do you know what protein % is in your feed? That sounds like the 14% feed that I get. Its mostly grains, seeds, and some whole corn. I heard that too much protein in your daily feed could mess up a young birds growth. Something about they can grow too big too fast and because they develop slower it can cause bone issues? I was thinking about cutting my %20 protein feed out for this reason....maybe I should just mix in less of it?

You mean like where I keep mine? I use pens that I move around to fresh grass and turn some out to free range. Don't really have but a few gamefowl type chickens though.

I was given Ganoi chicks. I can hardly find any information on the Interwebs on how to care for them. Does anyone have any links or books to recommend? I have a experience with a regular flock of egg layers.

Not much information online. Feed them like the rest plus add a bit of meat protein. Some people just add cheap cat food, I like getting a better kind, but it needs to be meat based.
