Stationary coop vs. movable paddock system

I have a lot of hawks at the farm. I have a chain link dog run that is 8'X12' and 6' tall. If I cover with wire mesh and also put some around the bottom, would I be able to move it around the yard to let the chickens range within? They would return to the permanent coop at night. I could throw a...

    Mealworm farming

This may be a silly question, but can you go fishing with meal worms instead of earth worms? Meal worms are a lot easier to catch. As a kid, my Dad always had us cut the worms in pieces to make them go further. But hey, I'm thinking with meal worms it could be one to a customer?

I had the same problem with my old truck but on both sides. No welder. So I found a couple sheets medium thick aluminum. I pounded them into shape, put some old roofing patch all over the floor and then I used a drill pop riveter to attach the aluminum to a few good places around the edges where...

All this talk of pussy willows, reminds me of my oldest son. He rooted one in Kindergarten and we planted it in our back yard. This thing grew like crazy and I have to keep cutting it back every year to keep the back neighbor off my back. I mean, who cuts branches from your tree on there side of...

Waterer nipples with 5 gal. Bucket reservoir help

Quote: Exactly what you need. Sort of like this. Flexible hose allows for separation to clean. Sorry, I couldn't get pics to post this time. If you don't want the reservoir directly above the drinking fountain don’t connect the rigid PVC to the bottom of the bucket directly. Do this by adding...

Yay! Post 100 to RaZ and Farmerboy16!! I've been watching the swans and geese land on my pond. They come in on partial ice and just as they think they made a smooth landing - wham - them fall through the ice! Like watching bowling pins fall. Quote: I hope it turns up for you.

    Cup-Waterers - need help understanding - **UPDATE**

I know this is quite a bit later than your last post. I'm sure you solved it by now, but on another thread, one person said she put little black dots on the yellow lever with a sharpie and that seemed to get them interested

Any experience with returns & warranties with CC ONLY Coop manufacturers?

So sorry you had a bad experience. I went to the website to check it out and while it looks like good stuff, you just can't really know for sure. At least they did contact you. I have heard others having trouble with Amazon and Craigslist sometimes. You should track what it takes to make it right...
