I agree small air cells say the humidity was to high not to low . heat spikes do much more damage . I'd be looking that way. got to head off to sleep lots to do you all have a good night
not nearly big enough but the yard is plenty big . so no it and they don't take up the whole yard . If it were not for every thing that would eat them. they would run the whole place little over a hundred acres .

I need something to fuss about and swear at . I sell at the livestock barn every couple of weeks to lower the numbers sell a lot of eggs . last year I hatched every week on Saturday starting in March and going through Sept .selling off the fall hatch now I keep the best pullets for replacements .
you having good luck or is it where these eggs are ? one thing I noticed right away was how it is able to drop humidity very quick . I haven't had a good broody in years that's why I'm incubating'
no not that I run dry all through incubation with my Marans eggs and spike humidity after the first pip . dark eggs are just harder to hatch . I have had chicks pip but not be able to zip . they turn but are not able to break the shell. some die half way round . others don't have a problem .I...
have you removed the motor at all or replaced it ? this looks normal the rails are in the wrong position bring them back to flat level and clip the turner arm back to the motor arm you may have to take out the screws to be able to do that .
I would look at the amount of fluid from the bottom of the egg do a bottom candle . I have experienced the same problem and it has almost always been to much fluid from humidity being to high . calibrate your hygrometer and make sure it is right . dark eggs are hard to hatch even at that your...
could be any of a number of reasons first question would be what was incubating humidity . next question would what was the fluid line like below air cell . other thought would be dark eggs are harder for the chick to pip. are there internal pips ? hover the most common reason would be humidity...
humidity spikes at hatch you really need to know what all the eggs look like going in to worry to much about that .take out all the plugs watch for condensation on the windows if they cover over lift the lid and let some out
