Yeah, the temperature is staying really stable now. I haven't dropped it but after this week in definitely looking everything over so I don't have to go through this again. Stinks too cause I had great luck with my chicken eggs last time
I think it's a newer one? I got it for Christmas last year from either BigR or TSC. I finally got the temperature stable enough to go to sleep by having the vent open halfway and proping the lid open with a nickle.
I used it a little over 2 months ago to hatch chicken eggs and it was fine. I'm...
I have, but I've been checking for pips and I haven't found any to explain the sudden skyrockets. I guess I wouldn't be too worried except I'm working all the days that I should be hatching so I can't stand by and make sure everything is going perfectly
What's a safe range for humidity for lockdown of courtinx quail? My humidity has been going everywhere since I started lockdown to the point I'm scared of leaving because it raises by literally 10-20% while I'm watching it. I don't k is if it's better to have it near 70% or a little lower than...
That one is actually kinda both. There will be several times were it turns and then a time or two when it doesn't, as long as it stays in the back and doesn't go too far forwards, I haven't had to actually turn it yet, shockingly
Eggs were loaded yesterday (I made a thread for it if you really want to know what's all in there)
6 bantams eggs and 16 standards including one that's almost a sphere
I usually wait until they're super fluffy of moving around too much and rolling eggs over. Whichever comes first. I tend to make a space for them to lay in and get warm in the incubator but I don't let them run around and bowl over eggs.
I'm so excited, loading my incubator up this afternoon with all sorts of eggs: Shipped eggs, bantam eggs, mutt eggs, all sorts. Hoping it goes well for my shipped eggs
If incubating bantams and standards, do you think the bantams would work in the middle more than the standards because the middle turns less? or does it not matter who's where?
