X2. One of your breeders is passing this on. It is not an incubator issue.

I think it is a buff. Maybe has some smut (the dark coloring), but that may go away as it feathers.

Thanks! That Buff is "Gracie." She is my daughter's favorite. She gets to compete in all the shows. Paired up with this boy, I've been getting some amazing buff babies: My daughter won Jr. Reserve Champion this Spring with this blue pullet.

It is a little red looking, but it could be the lighting. If not, maybe it will darken with age.

Lex kicked butt with her anway. Haha. She is so out of condition now. Maybe when I have more girls old enough to lay, I'll separate her for a while. Beth G. : Wow I didn't think she had any leakage at all. I though maybe from being outside in the sun gave her a little sunny look Either...

This is the girl with a little bit of leakage. She actually won Champ. Featherleg in the Jr. Division when my daughter showed her last spring.

    Silkie thread!

Aww...thanks Beth! I should probably say that it is very little leakage that the girl has. If she had a lot, I wouldn't use her to breed with. I am very happy with the chicks I'm getting though. Splash is my favorite color, so I am a bit partial, but I LOVE my splashes. Beth G. : Quote...

Actually, yes, I have. I have a blue splash girl that is gorgeous with a bit of leakage. Not terrible though, but it is there. She produces nice chicks, no leakage yet that I have noticed on any of them as they are growing out. Quote: Thank you for answering! I didn't see it, I guess...

    Silkie thread!

That was my first thought too, but after doing some quick research, it seemed like there were other things it could be. Hopefully, whatever it is, your baby recovers. Beth G. : Sorry to see them like this. It appears your silkie has contracted Mareks. Most cases both legs start to deform and...

    Silkie thread!

I think I'm gonna just bring him. Beth G. : Its got to be your camera bc his comb is not too red Besides if he had any DQ's I don't think he would have placed in the last show right? I think they would of marked him for it. But, that's just my opinion and I'm not a judge. I still say...
