I grew up as a military rugrat, moving every year or two, and mostly living on military bases. No animals other than dogs and cats. 'Course, I was always bringing home frogs, lizards, snakes, and turtles, but couldn't keep any.

Yeah, one of my "ol' favorites" is a .458 Win Mag, loaded with 500 grain roundnoses. I don't know why I like it so much, as there isn't anything around here big enough to use it on. On the other hand, if you ever need to stop a Greyhound bus, this'll do it.

All it takes is one day shooting a heavy caliber rifle with no hearing protection. Silence is golden (sometimes). I only watch DVD's that are close captioned. Don't even own a radio or TV.
