That's crazy!! If you have some grass hay, straw...something to throw on the ground in their coop that'll keep them busy for quite a while. Looks like they'll be stuck in there for a while :( Pretty birds! :)

Thanks Lisa. I wish you were closer too :) BTW, the two little frizzle NN's I got from someone else who hatched out some of your eggs are just amazing! They're both small, the black is especially tiny, yet they both lay huge blue eggs. Their eggs are as large as my Swedish Flower Hen eggs.

I found it harder to butcher the NN. I processed my first roo a couple of weeks ago. Someone in the group had an NN to do. With the bird upside down the feathers covered the face so the chicken wasn't looking up at me. The NN had nothing to cover it up....I didn't like that I could watch him...

Congratulations on your win Nava! Dipsy, I really like the black NN's. The skin contrasting with the black really accentuates what the birds are known for. They're lovely with a big dark eye too.

flower has a tiny NN. My bantam NN roo is 12" but I have him in with D'uccles. They're not very big. I'm sure a Serama roo could do the job without any problem if you have some bantam NN hens. My smallest NN's are a bit larger than my D'uccles. They lay huge eggs though, as big as my LF...

Georgia Boy, I call that window shopping...since I can't own them all I like to go back and admire the old photos. You're right on our little splash frizzled NN's. My little girl is very friendly and is prone to going broody in the spring.
